CHAPTER IV:
The Missing Testicles at the Spanish Congress

In the early 21st century, I was part of an investigation that was undertaken to address a peculiar phenomenon:

The missing testicles of the lion statue at the Spanish Congress.

We did it for History, of course.

MISSING TESTICLES

For History Channel, we created a campaign to address the missing testicles on a lion statue at the Congress building in Madrid.

We held a public survey that received overwhelming support, commissioned a foundry to create a bronze replica, and had a ballot to give it away as a prize.

Results: The campaign generated significant publicity and had a monetary value of €1.6 million despite only spending €14,000 on marketing.
